Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you'll make for your child. While every school offers learning opportunities, Catholic schools provide an education that nurtures the whole child – academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

At our school, your child will be known, valued and supported as an individual. We strive to create a welcoming community where students feel a sense of belonging, develop strong relationships and are encouraged to become their very best version of themselves.

Catholic education is grounded in values such as compassion, respect, service, inclusion and justice. These values are woven through everyday school life, helping students grow into confident young people who care for others and make a positive contribution to their community.

Prep students engage with the Foundation Year of the Australian Curriculum through a play-based program that encourages curiosity. In our safe and nurturing environment, children learn through exploration and discovery, supported every step of the way by our caring and supportive teachers. With access to a purpose-built Prep precinct, students build confidence, form friendships and develop the skills they need for a positive and successful transition to Year 1.

To help your child feel confident and excited about starting school, orientation meetings will be held in October. These opportunities allow your child and family to become familiar with our school community, meet key staff and begin building connections before their first day. Enrolled families will receive further information about these events closer to the time.

Our school welcomes enrolment applications for all year levels at any time of the year.

We are currently accepting Prep enrolment applications for 2028 and beyond. Applications for Prep 2027 and other year levels are subject to availability.

Offers of a place in our Prep program will be made by email, after all Prep interviews have been held in Term 1 and Term 2 of the year before starting school. For all other year levels confirmation of enrolment will then be made within a few days of the interview. Where applications exceed available places, families will be placed on the waitlist.

St Kieran's School is a Catholic school, we are open to all families seeking a faith-based education in a welcoming and inclusive community. We celebrate the diversity of the families we serve and invite everyone to participate in and support the Catholic traditions, beliefs and values that guide our schools and enrich the educational experience of every student. Absolutely! In fact, the best way to know whether our school is the right fit for your family is to experience it for yourself.
